A sentence begins with a capital letter (A, B, C, D etc.) and ends with a full stop (.).
Capital letters are also used for the first letters of
names of people (Jim, Anna);
names of places (China, France, New York), and adjective and nouns for people and languages from those places (Chinese, French, a New Yorker);
names of organisations (Microsoft, the United Nations)
names of days and months (Wednesday, January).
